Andy Mankiewicz Non-Executive Chairman
Andy is British and a graduate of London University. With a management consultant background from Deloitte Consulting Group, Andy has spent the past fifteen years building businesses between Europe and Japan in sectors including media, healthcare, fashion, retail and food and beverage. He currently sits on the board of a number of investment companies in Japan and advises on domestic strategy and international growth. He is also President of the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan and a Board member of the European Business Council in Japan.
Yasushi Nishiyama CEO
A graduate of Meiji University, Yasu has over twenty years experience in the Japanese equity
capital markets. After joining Yamaichi Securities, Yasu worked for a brief period for Bloomberg
Japan. He was then asked to join Nasdaq Japan responsible for equity sales. He moved to DLJ
Direct Securities (now Rakuten Securities) in charge of underwriting Japanese listings. Yasu
joined the Board of IPO Securities heading up the Equity Capital Markets Division. In 2007,
Yasu was asked to join the Board of Bansei Securities after its acquisition of IPO Securities. He
joined Tozai Capital in 2007 and was appointed CEO in September 2008.
Neil Crawford COO
Neil has over twenty years experience in UK corporate finance and equity markets. A graduate of Cambridge University, Neil started his career as an auditor with Deloitte. He then held senior positions within corporate finance at Singer & Friedlander followed by KPMG Corporate Finance. Neil then established the public markets group within RSM Robson Rhodes with particular focus on AIM. Following the merger of RSM Robson Rhodes and Grant Thornton, he became a partner in the enlarged firm within the Capital Markets section of the Corporate Finance department - responsible for all corporate finance work for AiM and Main Market flotations and take-overs before joining Tozai Capital as Managing Director.
Junichi Nako Director
A graduate of Keio University, Junichi joined a growing accounting firm in Tokyo, focusing on institutional clients, as well as providing management consulting services. With experience in the IT, media and retail sectors, Junichi oversees new investments and maintains financial control over group companies. Junichi is responsible for client due diligence, financial monitoring and investor relations in Japan.
Akio Shimamoto Director
A graduate of Kyoto University, Akio has nearly thirty years experience in the Japanese securities industry. He spent eighteen years in Nomura Securities with overseas job experience in Zurich and London, following which he also worked for Mizuho Group, Nasdaq Japan and Mitsubishi Group and obtained Investment Adviser qualification from the UK’s FSA. After being President of daVinci Plus and Director of Eagle Holdings, Akio was asked to join the Board of Bansei Securities.
